Swedish massage is the term for relaxation massage. It is the foundation of my work, over which other techniques are applied.  Swedish massage follows a pattern of warming, lifting, and stretching the muscle tissue, as well as increasing circulation.

Deep Tissue massage focuses on the deeper layers of the muscle and soft tissues of the body.  It can be used to target a specific spot or the entire length of a muscle.  Deep tissue massage is applied by using a slow, controlled, and steady motion with moderate to firm pressure.

Pregnancy massage is an amazingly effective way to support both mother and baby during a time of growth and transition.  Massage gives the mother a chance to rest, rejuvenate, and promote balance in the ever changing stages of pregnancy.  Along with reducing stress, it can help prevent and alleviate common low back and hip pain associated with the extra weight pull and stretching of muscles on the front of the body.

Trigger point therapy pinpoints taut bands of tissue that refer or radiate pain to another area of the body.  This therapy can be particularly beneficial to deal with recurring headaches or muscle spasms due to overuse and/or repetitive motions.

Myofascial Release supports and releases the body's natural pattern of connective tissue, or fascia, within the layers of skin, muscle, and even bone.  Poor posture or injury can cause restriction within the fascia, which can lead to decreased range of motion and stress on the body.

Sports Massage is meant to support the body during athletic training, before or after athletic events, and is overall a beneficial technique for invigorating muscles and preventing injuries. It uses a combination of active releases, pin-and-stretch, and rhythmic compressions.

Neuromuscular Release involves isolating a hypertensive muscle and reducing its tension through a series of active movements.  It is helpful in retraining muscle physiology.
